What is a Curriculum Vitae?

Curriculum vitae is a document used to present the background and skills of an individual. The document is used in 2 cases:

  1. When the candidate wishes to answer an open job – ad.
  2. When the applicant wishes to express his interest in working in a business even without publication of an advertisement.

The curriculum vitae is essentially a “photograph” of the candidate’s qualifications and skills. The purpose of sending a CV is not to find a job but to move interest from the employer to the candidate.

At this point it is worth noting that the average time of reading a CV by the employer is 30 seconds. For this reason, a candidate’s curriculum vitae should be:

  1. Simple
  2. Short
  3. Clear
  4. Readable
  5. Honest
  6. Regarding the subject of the position / business

The most important things that a completed CV should have are:

  4. Education
  5. Knowledge of language (mother tongue / foreign languages)
  6. Knowledge of Computer
